CES Booth Staffing Checklist

CES Booth Staffing Checklist

CES spreads across the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Venetian Expo, and it draws buyers, press, investors and retailers into the same aisles. Booth staff have to read a badge in a glance and switch between a short pitch and a long technical demo.

Ten weeks out: confirm booth size and open sides, set a lead goal and define a qualified lead, and book your crew. Technical demo leads are the first roles to go.

Eight weeks out: submit staff names for exhibitor badges so no one is stuck at pickup on opening morning, and plan coverage by hall.

Four weeks out: send product training materials, write the 30-second pitch and the qualifying questions with your sales team, and schedule hands-on demo time.

Show week: GPS check-in each morning, a team lead walking the booth every hour, extra hosts at opening and keynote breaks, and leads logged live, not on paper.

After the show: export leads to your CRM within 24 hours and send the first follow-up within 48. Most of the value of a trade show is lost in slow follow-up.
